Age units
Baby Elephants is an 8-place Child Care Setting. We cater for children from 0 weeks to 5yrs.
The child care setting is divided into five different age units:
Babies
Love, security, safety & learning Everything your baby needs.
You’re looking for a safe, cozy “home away from home” for your baby. We’ve created a nurturing, creative world especially for babies.
We’ll put your mind at ease. We understand about separation anxiety – yours and your child’s. Our team will stay in close touch with you to help make the transition as easy as possible.
The Babies are taken on daily walks, weather permitting, in the our buggies.
Our baby program is as individual as your baby.
Your baby is one of a kind. We don’t expect your child to fit into a rigid schedule. Instead, we’ll follow your baby’s individual rhythms for feeding, sleeping and playful interaction, to mirror your patterns at home. Your baby is also ready to learn, so we have a specific Plan for Learning for your child, including daily activities, materials and baby milestones.
Baby Foundations:
- Flexible, personal daily schedules for each baby.
- Age-appropriate toys, games and music.
- Nurturing, personal care.
- Stimulating activities and group interactions.
- Independent play and exploration.
- Encouragement to learn, grow and discover at the child’s own pace.
Toddlers
So much to do, so much to learn, so much fun.
Our toddler program introduces your child to a more structured day with stimulating activities, group interaction and the chance to be inquisitive as he or she begins to talk, walk and explore.
Curriculum activities, monthly themes and experiences are based on real-world sensory experiences. We spend a big part of every day singing, dancing, laughing, playing and exploring, indoors and out. Our teachers coordinate with you to give your toddler support for each developmental phase. We love to help your child grow!
Sensory learning makes sense for toddlers.
Toddlers are always “in the moment,” taking in information through all their senses. Baby Elephants welcome to learning curriculum is packed with real-world, concrete, sensory experiences where toddlers can touch, see, taste, hear and smell.
Baby elephants staff have designed specific activities designed to help your toddler build cognitive, language, motor and social skills, and self-esteem.
